A little care before sharing.

Imprint Guardian checks new photographs and videos on our private server for possible nudity, sexual content and graphic violence. Your media is not sent to an outside AI moderation service or used to train a public AI model.

What happens after uploading?

The upload is saved privately and held before family playback, thumbnails, QR playback or book printing. During this first pilot, an authorized reviewer reviews new visual uploads and approves or declines them. Ordinary audio-only recordings and text are outside this visual check.

A pending upload is not a judgment about you or your family. If scanning is unavailable, the upload stays held for review. Refresh your collection to check its status.

Context matters.

A detector can mistake a family, medical, childbirth or historical image for something unsuitable. A flag is a reason to look carefully, not proof that an image is prohibited. Decisions require human review; Guardian does not automatically delete files or penalize accounts.

What can the checks miss?

Video checks sample frames, so brief scenes may be missed. These checks do not identify people, determine age or establish that an upload is lawful. Existing media uploaded before Guardian's rollout is not silently rescanned or marked safe.

Need help with a decision?

Open ? → New request, or email help@project-imprint.com. Describe which upload needs attention; you do not need to attach the media again.

Helping with Guardian reviews

An administrator can assign a trusted account from Back office → People & family access → Users. Check the Guardian reviewer box and select Save reviewer access. Reviewers can see private visual uploads across collections and approve or reject them; the role does not grant other back-office tools or family membership.

Assigned reviewers open Guardian reviews from their library. To remove the role, uncheck it and save. New review and media requests are denied immediately; media already viewed or downloaded cannot be recalled. Administrators already have review access and are managed separately.
